Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Cats at Odds: Logic Puzzle mobile app and related services operated by SideCat (collectively, the "Application"). SideCat is referred to in these Terms as the "Service Provider." By downloading or using the Application, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before using the Application.

License to Use the Application

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Service Provider grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Application on a mobile device for personal use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application, except where such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law.

Intellectual Property

The Service Provider retains all intellectual property rights in the Application, including its code, design, trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, and branding. Nothing in these Terms grants you any license or right to use the Service Provider's trademarks, logos, or branding. You agree not to remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices displayed in or on the Application.

Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years of age, or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use the Application. If you are below that age, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf.

Use of the Application

You agree to use the Application only for lawful purposes. Unauthorized copying or modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or the Service Provider's trademarks is strictly prohibited. Attempts to extract source code, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions are not permitted unless allowed by applicable law.

The Application does not currently provide user-generated content or public posting features. If such features are added in the future, additional rules may apply.

Changes, Charges, and Availability

The Service Provider is dedicated to keeping the Application useful and efficient, and may modify the Application or charge for certain services at any time. Any charges for the Application or its services will be clearly communicated before purchase.

Some functions of the Application may require an active internet connection. The Service Provider cannot be held responsible if the Application does not function at full capacity due to lack of internet access, exhausted data allowance, device issues, or other circumstances outside the Service Provider's control.

If you use the Application outside of a Wi-Fi area, your mobile network provider's terms may still apply and you may incur data or roaming charges. You are responsible for any such charges. If you are not the bill payer for the device, you confirm that you have obtained permission from the bill payer.

Device Security

It is your responsibility to maintain the security of your device and access to the Application. The Service Provider strongly advises against jailbreaking or rooting your device, as this may expose it to security risks and may cause the Application to malfunction.

Third-Party Services

The Application uses third-party services that have their own terms and policies. These services may include:

• Google Play Services
• AdMob
• Google Analytics for Firebase
• Firebase Crashlytics
• Meta / Facebook SDK
• Unity

Updates and Termination

The Service Provider may update the Application from time to time. You may need to download updates to continue using the Application. The Service Provider does not guarantee that the Application will always be updated or compatible with every device or operating system version.

The Service Provider may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, violate applicable law, infringe intellectual property rights, or engage in activity that could harm other users or the Service Provider. Upon termination, your right to use the Application will end and you must stop using it.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service Provider is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be lawfully excluded.

The Service Provider remains responsible for liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service Provider, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms or intentional misuse of the Application. This does not apply to claims arising from the Service Provider's own negligence, breach of these Terms, or violation of applicable law.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service Provider is established, excluding conflict of law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise. Any dispute will be brought before courts that have jurisdiction under applicable law. Nothing in this clause limits rights you may have under mandatory law.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Service Provider concerning your use of the Application.

Changes to These Terms

The Service Provider may update these Terms from time to time. You are advised to review this page regularly for changes. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Previous versions may be made available upon request by contacting sidecat04@gmail.com.
